Meet the Baker

My name is Isabelle and I am the founder of Sweet Kicks! 

Ever since I founded Sweet Kicks Co. in September 2019, I have been creating cookie and cake recipes, hoping to share them with the rest of the world, and as of July 2021, we have filled over a hundred orders here in College Station! 

I am so excited to be able to share my baked goods with everyone, and I am so grateful to have this opportunity. Sweet Kicks Co. operates under Texas Cottage Food Laws, and  I am personally so glad to live in a state where this is even possible! 

Since I want to get to know all of my customers better, here are a few things about me that you should know! 

1. I am a devout Christian and I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior! My faith is a huge part of my life, and I love getting to bring His love into what I do as well! I love getting to write Bible verses at the bottom of all of my bakery bags and boxes, and I hope that it starts a conversation about who Jesus is and why I believe in Him! 

My favorite verse is Romans 12:2, which says "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." 

2. I really love all things Texas! Being a Texas born-and-raised gal, I have fallen in love with this state, and you will constantly hear me talking about how much I love this state!! (If everything in my life was Texas-shaped, it would be amazing)

3. Chick-Fil-A is my favorite fast-food place! I will never turn down a Frosted Coffee and waffle fries.

4. I  would love to branch into photography as well! I have taken senior pictures for some of my friends, and it is SO fun! Big props to all the amazing photographers we have in the BCS community!!

5. I love getting to write cards and letters! I am a huge fan of the old-fashioned way of writing, and I think personally handwritten cards and letters are just the sweetest! I'm the girl who stands in the card aisle for a long time, picking out new cards (even when I have so many already) because they're just too cute. I carry around empty cards every day, just in case I need to write one at any given time!

I have poured a lot of love and long hours into making this website, and I am so excited to finally be able to show the world what Sweet Kicks Co. is all about! We have made it a long way since our first few days as a bakery (check my Instagram Highlights to see what I'm talking about!) and I am so grateful to so many people for helping me make this dream possible.

A big thank you to my little sister Audrey, for being the unofficial taste-tester of all my new cookie recipes. Thanks for being brutally honest and for helping me realize that I am actually the best cookie baker in the world. 

And a thank you to my best friend, Stella Tjhia, for creating this beautiful logo that goes on all of our packagings! I could not have a cute bakery logo without your creativity!

I would also love to say thank you so much to my Food Technology teacher, Mrs. Erin Stutts, for introducing the SAE projects to our class back in my sophomore year! You have always been so encouraging, and I'm so grateful for both you and your class!

And finally, the world's biggest thank you to my parents, for funding a lot of this bakery, and for allowing me to use our kitchen so often! You guys are so supportive, and I could not have done this without your support.  A parent's love goes far, and for us, that's to Costco. Thank you for always helping me get the ingredients I need, and for supporting my cookie dreams. I love you guys!

I don't know what the future holds, but I do know that it'll look like a lot of baking.
